Did you know that you can specify the target audience of your Facebook posts so that they show the particular post to specific audience, based on your preferences? This could be anything such as readers’ country, city, language, sex, age or interests? For example: you want to tell women about your new beauty product. You needn’t trouble the male audience with this information, because it is possible to specify that the particular post will be visible to women only. In case you want to publish the same information in several different languages on your page, you can specify that as well. For instance, the texts in English will be visible only to the followers who speak English, but Spanish texts – to Spanish audience.
You can do that in 5 simple steps:
1. Visit the “Settings” section of the Facebook page and find the setting “News Feed Audience and Visibility for Posts”, tick the checkbox and save the changes. This action will enable the necessary functions.
- Create a new Facebook post on your page (text, pictures, etc).
- Click on “Narrow the potential News Feed audience for this post” and specify the parameters of your target audience.
Here you can also specify your post’s end date to ensure that, for example, no information about an already ended contest or sale wanders around Facebook pages. All you need to do is click on “Post End Date”.
- After that, click the “Public” icon; select “Location/Language”.
And specify your target country and/or language.
- Publish your post

Moreover, if you want some of your posts to show on top of a page for a longer period of time and to make sure they won’t be pushed to the bottom by new posts, use the “Pin to Top” function. This way, the post will stay there for 7 days, but after that it will automatically move down to the publishing date.
